The issue of homelessness in Chicago has led many individuals to seek refuge on public transit, particularly on trains, as a means of shelter. This trend highlights the growing challenges faced by the unhoused population, especially during extreme weather conditions. Trains, such as those on the Red and Blue Lines, which operate 24 hours, often become temporary havens for those with nowhere else to go.
