Heavenly Orphan is a small rescue that relies on foster homes while working toward building our new facility. Despite our best efforts, we face challenges in saving animals, as many are sadly considered “throw-away” pets. Local rescues cannot help them all.
When people contact us to surrender their pets, they often express deep fear and sadness. Some worry their pets might be neglected, abused, or even euthanized if taken to a shelter.
At Heavenly Orphans, we ease these concerns by finding loving homes for pets free of charge. Most are matched with senior citizens, veterans, and families who provide the care and companionship they deserve.
If you’re considering surrendering your family pet, please remember that shelters often lead to heartbreaking outcomes. Pets can be euthanized in just days—days filled with stress, confusion, and sorrow. Instead, try to find someone who can love and care for your pet to help save its life. Ditching them at a shelter is not the solution.
God entrusted us with these wonderful animals as a reminder of love, compassion, and responsibility. They bring us joy, companionship, and even healing, proving that the bond between humans and animals is truly special.
