The Universal Declaration of Human Rights similarly states that “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing, medical care and necessary social services.
It is hard to imagine a veteran homeless in America, yet it happens. Many of our homeless veterans suffer from mental health challenges. That's not an excuse to leave them homeless. Homeless veterans in America have served in World War II, Korean War, Cold War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, and operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. We owe them All!
There are a lot of neighborhoods filled with vacant buildings, some of these abandoned buildings have the potential to be turned into safe, havens, and affordable homes. Converting vacant houses into homes for people is something we all can get involved in.
